Microsoft is ready to deliver another amazing update for Xbox owners all over. This comes after the 1440p support for Xbox One S and X. Some of the highlights for this month are: Native support for 120Hz display, Discord intergration, new game sorting options and more.
Support for 120Hz display - The rate at which your display refreshes its image has an effect on the gameplay experience and the presentation. The refresh rate is measured in Hertz(Hz) whereby the higher the number, the more times your display refreshes. This results in smoother gameplay, faster reaction times therefore improving the overall gaming experience. However, there are hardware limitations to selecting this refresh rate(120Hz) as you will only be able to select 1080p and 1440p resolutions. To be able to selct 4K for your display, this setting has to be turned off.
Discord Intergration - Microsoft has partnered with Discord to bolster its online ecosystem and be able to connect more gamers together in various ways. The update will allow users to link their Xbox profiles to Discord. Due to this being an early intergration, voice and text services will be unavailable but it will tie your Xbox One activities to the service's social features. However, without a Discord app currently on Xbox One, the experience will still be heavily tied to PC and mobile, for now.
