There are plenty of games out there, from first person shooters to side scrolling platforming games. The majority of gamers enjoy playing FPS games because the market has been flooded with FPS and 3rd person shooters, you can't avoid it. This is a norm created by publishers and well known studios so even someone who does not like FPS would still play just because everyone else is playing. However, this could shy off an interested individual who just wants to enjoy. Today I have listed one of the game genres that I enjoy and spend quite some time. Here is my list for the top 5 twin stick shooters.
The year is 2091; the world has changed to a corrupt steampunk where humans are violent as always. You, the protagonist, play as a renegade in search of your brother who was kidnapped by an evil and violent corporation. Your mission is to save your brother and also shed light on what is truly happening to the world of Rengkok.
The reason I like this game is because its not your traditional run and gun twin stick shooter. The combat system keeps you on your toes by using melee combat combined with guns, time freeze and dash. The game was built for total carnage.
Tesla Vs Lovecraft
This is an intense top down arena twin stick shooter where you play as the Iconic Nikola Tesla scientist whose mission is to beat Lovecraft’s monstrous creations of horror. You have an array of weapons at your disposal and the unique thing about this game is that you upgrade your weapons during gameplay which makes the game very interesting. There are hordes of monsters that you mow down. These monsters drop plenty of upgrades and perks that makes the game really enjoyable.
This is a ps4 exclusive game so if you are a ps4 owner, you are in for treat. Just like the title, Earth has been invaded by extra-terrestrials that have wiped out most of the human race. Humans have put their heads together and developed weapons and armor suits to challenge the aliens.
The combat system is primarily shooting with different weapons. You can play solo or team up with a squad of up to 4 players and each player can use a different class such as, Bio-specialist who’s more of a support class, Tank is the heavy artillery class and Saboteur who is more of a stealth Ninja. Each armor suit is augmented with specific skills that best bring out the class.
This is a retro 16-bit top down game. It's set in Miami (1989) where you play as an assassin and your objective is to take down (more of a massacar) the local Russian Mafia. The overall game is fast paced and quite challenging, though it's like a one hit and die kind of game, it is extremely rewarding and satisfying once beaten. What twin stick shooters have you played?
