AI Teammate Enhancements
EA actually listened to the FIFA community feedback where players raised the issue of manually controlling the defending AI players did not feel rewarding enough. To make it more rewarding to control defending players near the box, the EA team have made some changes that a defending AI Teammate will stretch when trying to block an incoming shot, before the update, an AI Teammate defender will not be able to stretch as far as a human controlled defender will be able to making it easy to score.
EA made changes in the previous update where a defending player could execute a well-timed tackle but it could go to waste because the attacking player would easily recover the ball and score a goal. EA has rectified this problem by making it more challenging for the attacking player to recover the ball easily.
Previously, when players were defending with lots of pressure due to configuring the team’s dynamic tactic or game plan, they were not impacted by fatigue in the duration of the match allowing them to not to be fatigued for the entire match. Here are the changes EA have made directly from the patch notes.
Increased the impact to fatigue of playing with defensive pressure.
This change will have the biggest impact on fatigue when playing with Constant Pressure enabled in your active Game Plan or when playing with Team Press active.
This change will have a reduced impact to fatigue when playing with Pressure On Heavy Touch or Pressure After Possession Loss enabled in your active Game Plan.
